The Towel Rack Genie comes with a linseed oil finish for use outdoors. The linseed oil finish sinks into the wood, protecting it from the elements, but does not have the luster of a lacquer finish. For indoor use, you may apply a lacquer finish or paint your Towel Rack Genie to match your decor. The finish shown to the right is a lacquer finish. Lightly sand the towel rack before applying your finish of choice. Please note that a new finish is only recommended for indoor use. If you refinish the towel rack and use it outdoors, the finish will likely peel.
